Assistant Professor in Economics

The board of the University has announced the vacancy for the following academic position:

Full time assistant professor in Economics for the academic years 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023. 

Tenure-track position with a possible confirmation as of the academic year 2023- 2024.

The candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Economics or in Statistics. He/she contributes, through his/her research and teaching to the national and international visibility of the University. He/she develops his/her research in the field of applied quantitative economics within CEREC (CEnter for Research in Economics – http://www.cerec.be). Excellence in research is attested by publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

The successful candidate will teach at the bachelor level in French and English.

He/she benefits from a successful experience in teaching at this level.

He/she must therefore exhibit an excellent command of English (e.g. TOEFL 95 or more, with a minimum of 25 in the speaking section). Being a native English speaker is an asset. A very good command of French is also mandatory.
