DESCRIPTION:Gijs J.M. Dekkers –  Evolution of the Poverty Risk in Belgium: projections up to 2070 using dynamic microsimulation\nRoom : salle des examens\nEvolution of the Poverty Risk in Belgium: projections up to 2070 using dynamic microsimulation (with Karel Van den Bosch)\nHow would the poverty risk of various age groups in Belgian society develop in a scenario using a wide range of demographic and economic projections and an assumption of constant policy? The cross-sectional dynamic microsimulation model MIDAS has gone through an extensive development process in recent years. The presentation will start by putting the model MIDAS in a methodological and institutional context. Next, the methodological basics of the model will be briefly discussed. The main part of the presentation will be the discussion of the simulation results. Finally, the open-source development tool used to develop the model will be briefly presented.\n
